Since the summer of 2002, USPerformingArts and Peter Exline and have held digital film camps at Pepperdine University and other sites. Campers come from across America and around the world for a week of movie making. By the first day campers working in groups of five or six make a five-shot exercise in camera. This begins the process of understanding the basic language of movie making. Next, the different groups formulate an idea, write a screenplay and diagram a shot-list before producing, acting and directing their own short film. Campers work on DV Cameras and Apple computers, editing with Final Cut Pro.
